Twenty Cent Pieces

Lot Photo Description Realized
Lot 548
1875-S Twenty Cents. NGC graded MS-66. Satiny luster in the fields with highly appealing color. The obverse has light gray toning and the reverse some light blotches of color and tiny specks hither and yon. Liberty and the eagle are well struck as are most of the obverse stars. One of the finest graded, the recent NGC Population Report shows just 24 graded this high, with 3 graded higher. Always popular with type collectors as this unusual denomination lasted only a few years, and very few were saved in high grade.
Estimated Value $7,000 - 7,500.
