Half Eagle. 1912-S. PCGS graded MS-64. One of the premier rarities in very choice Mint State for the Indian Half Eagle series. After years and years of grading millions of coins, PCGS has only graded 12 this high, with a single coin graded higher! That makes this 1912-S one of the very Finest Known of the date. Especially frosty and attractive for this well-made, well-preserved coin. Similar to the issue of 1911-S, the 1912-S was saved in extremely limited numbers in Uncirculated condition, with few if any hoards having surfaced, and the number graded remaining small. Boldly struck, with few abrasions anywhere to be found, making this near gem an outstanding coin for the date and worthy of the finest collection.
