1951 New York Yankees Signed Team Ball. 24 autographs, including Hall of Famers Joe DiMaggio (signed on the sweet spot), Yogi Berra, and Allie Reynolds. Some even yellowing of the ball but overall condition is good with no scuffs or scratches. Housed in a clear lucite case.

Large lot of items signed by nine different HOF baseball greats: Warren Spahn, Bob Keller, Bill Dickey, Johnny Mize, Luis Aparicio, Carl Hubbell, Al Lopez, Early Wynn, "Red" Schoendienst, Monte Irvin, George Kell, and Leo Durocher. Highlights include photos signed by Mize, Keller, Irvin, Kell, Wynn, Dickey, and Spahn (he signed 2 photos and a check). Hubbell, Lopez, and Schoendienst signed on white cards, and Aparicio signed on a 5½ x 3½ baseball card. Includes seven framed items. We urge inspection prior to bidding. Easily worth our conservative estimate.

Ali Gloves Signed For 1975 "Mentally Retarded Olympian Program". Muhammad Ali signed these brown Everlast boxing gloves (serial # 21086) for a charity auction to benefit the "Mentally Retarded Olympian Program, Inc." Signed in red ink on both gloves and on the inside of the left glove. At the charity auction it was announced that these gloves were used in training in 1974 for either the second Frazier fight or the "Rumble in the Jungle" in Zaire (George Foreman). Very scarce. Accompanied by a 3-inch pin-on button from the event. It has "Mentally Retarded Olympian Program, Inc." (later became The Special Olympics) at the center, the dates "Aug 9 10 11 1975" at left; and "'76 Marathon" below. The consignor bought these gloves at the charity auction and kept the pin with them. Accompanied by a notarized letter from the consignor.

Ali, Muhammad. Request for an autograph which Ali obliged by writing in the lower left corner of the letter, "Thank you Jim / Muhammad Ali / 9-13-87." With an envelope from Muhammad Ali Farms, postmarked 13 Sep 1987 and addressed to Jim Stinson. Also in this lot: a color 8 x 10 in. photo of Ali clowning around with a sparring partner, signed "Muhammad Ali" across his left boxing glove; a color 8 x 10 in. photo showing Ali signing a poster; and three vintage photos from the March 9, 1971 Ali-Frasier "Fight of the Century" at Madison Square Garden. Frasier won a unanimous decision after 15 rounds, retaining the heavy-weight title and dealing Ali his first professional loss.

Dempsey, Jack (1895-1983) Heavyweight champion from 1919-26; nicknamed "The Manassa Mauler." Photograph handsigned and inscribed in blue ink, "Thanks Mary & lots of Luck From Jack Dempsey." The photo is in a presentation holder from Jack Dempsey's Broadway Bar and Cocktail Lounge in New York and signed above the photo on the cardstock frame. The date "3-5-54" is pencilled on the inside cover. A handsome photo of Dempsey with a young couple (the man is in unform) in his bar.

USC Heisman Trophy Winners. Housed in a clear plexiglass frame are the signatures of all seven of USC's Heisman Trophy winners: Mike Garrett (1965), O.J. Simpson (1968), Charles White (1979), Marcus Allen (1981), Carson Palmer (2002), Matt Leinhart (2004), Reggie Bush (2005) on a matted University of Southern California stationary card. Lot also includes two signed books: The Trojan Heritage - a pictorial history of USC football by Mal Florence extensively signed by Trojan greats; McKay - A Coach's Story by John McKay. Both include dust jackets in fine condition. Total of three items.

Kahanamoku, Duke (1890-1968) Father of modern surfing; Olympic gold medal swimmer in 1912 and 1920. Typed Letter Signed "Duke" on personal letterhead, one page, 11 x 8½in., Waikiki Beach, Hawaii, Sept. 3, 1962. To Ernie Bernstein, in part: "A great deal of water has flown under the bridge since we hit the heights at the Stockholm Olympics in 1912. Fifty long but wonderful years which I trust have treated you as kindly as they have treated me….Our very best wishes to you on this our Olympian Golden Anniversary…." With an original vintage photo of a young Duke standing in front of a surfboard with "Duke" on it; photo is affixed to black paper with "Duke Kahanamoku / 1st Price [sic] 100 meter Olympic Games, Stockholm 1912."
