Flynn, Errol. Italian restaurant guest check signed ("E Flynn") in pencil, 8" x 4¼", Rome, dated by the recipient 30-3-53. The restaurant was Ristorante Passetto in Rome and the charge was 1900 lire. The Australian-born Flynn (1909-1959) was known for his swashbuckling roles. 1953 was the year he made the film The Master of Ballantrae.

Garbo, Greta. Original pen caricature by Oscar Berger signed in pencil by Miss Gargo at lower right and in pen by Berger, 12¾" x 8¾", no place, no date. Drawn on thin art paper and portraying Miss Garbo in a vampy dress, accepting the loving attention of a suitor (probably conductor Leopold Stokowski, given the musical note in his bow tie); he holds a large bunch of flowers. Very good; minor paper loss in upper corners, affecting nothing, one horizontal fold and light creasing. Oscar Berger (1901-?) was a world-famous Czech artist who got kicked out of Germany when Hitler didn't like Berger's caricatures of him. He drew caricatures of world-famous personalities such as Winston Churchill, Presidents Roosevelt, Truman, and Kennedy, and movie celebrities such as Greta Garbo and Buster Keaton. He would sign the caricature himself and have the celebrity sign.

Autograph letter signed on a personal notecard, 1½ pages, 3½" x 6", Santa Monica, California, 1956 Oct. 19. A nice, friendly letter to Elmer Westover in Moosic, Pennsylvania, reminiscing about his vaudeville days at the Poli Theatre in Scranton, giving news of Oliver Hardy ("Mr. Hardy has left the hospital now…."), and adding, "No, I don't mind you calling me Stan - if the President doesn't object to being called IKE - why should I?…." The envelope is addressed in Laurel's hand and is sealed with a cute image of Laurel and Hardy. Fine.

Inscribed photograph signed in purple ink (somewhat faded), 14" x 11", 1941. Inscribed in Portuguese "For Ralph with the best wishes of Carmen Miranda." at the beginning of her Hollywood film career. Very good; a white scratch at the very top touches the top of the first letter; minor soiling in left border. With a 14" x 11" signed photo of Cuban-American actor Cesar Romero (1907-1994) inscribed in English to Ralph; Romero sometimes starred opposite Carmen Miranda, but is best known for his portrayal of the Joker in the television series Batman.

(Monroe, Marilyn) 1955 Nude Calendar. Original 1955 calender featuring a nude pose of Marilyn Monroe by Tom Kelley. The calendar size is 19 1/2" x 12"; the image is 12½" x 11 ½". Twelve leaves, with one month on each leaf and, in smaller print at the bottom, the previous and following months. Condition is very good with very slight 1/4" crease on upper left corner and very faint 2 " age line at 45 degrees on lower left corner.

An original 8¼" x 10½" animation cel painting from the weekly NBC-TV series, "The Pink Panther," signed by Friz Freleng and Peter Sellers in black marker. Freleng (1906-1995) was a four-time Academy Award winning animator, cartoonist, director, and producer, best known for his work on Warner Bros.' Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons. Freleng and David DePatie (DePatie-Freleng Enterprises), produced "The Pink Panther Show" which aired from 1964-1971. Peter Sellers (1925-1980) was an English comedian best known for his role as the bumbling Inspector Clouseau; he appeared in five Pink Panther movies between 1963 and 1978. A wonderful Pink Panther memento.

Accompanied by sheet music for "There's A New Star In Heaven To-Night," a composition rushed to the market upon Valentino's death in 1926; a photo of Valentino is on the cover.
