There may have been only one King Azes, who reigned 57-12 BC, or two Azes, the second reigning into the first few decades of the 1st century AD. In general: the coins with king on horseback with spear are often assigned to Azes I and the king on horseback with whip assigned to Azes II, although BMC and other major reference sources list only one Azes.
